Human Creativity in an AI World

February 14, 2024, 4-5 p.m. in Copley Formal Lounge
Prof. Laura DeNardis and Prof. Susanna Lee

Literary, artistic, and musical compositions, once the exclusive purview of human creativity and expression, are increasingly entangled with generative AI. Machine learning technologies are now producing “original” art and literary works, winning awards and even composing music in the style of Bach cantatas capable of fooling music aficionados. Many are debating whether these transformative technologies enhance human creativity or replace it. What are the implications for humanities and the creative arts, for humans’ engagement with one another, for intellectual property rights, and for society at large? Join two leading Georgetown professors for a showcase and discussion of human creativity in an AI world. RSVP with Eventbrite.
